By India Today Web Desk: Due to an injury, India pacer Deepak Chahar is probably going to miss the final two One-Day Internationals against South Africa.
Chahar has a stiff back and was selected as a standby player for the 2022 T20 World Cup. He has relocated to Bangaluru's National Cricket Academy. According to reports, Chahar and Mohammed Shami will go for Australia on October 16.
Shikhar Dhawan's revamped India team lost to Temba Bavuma's South Africa in the opening one-day international match in Lucknow by just nine runs. South Africa posted a total of 249/4 because to Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller's undefeated scores of 74 and 75 respectively.
India's response saw an early collapse as openers Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill left the country for very little money. Sanju Samson and Shreyas Iyer among others attempted to keep India's hopes alive, but when Iyer was dismissed for 50, Samson's (86 not out) effort was in vain as India ultimately lost.
