According to police, an inquiry is underway to determine the identify of the person who filmed the scene as well as those who spread it.
K. Arun, Superintendent of Police at Davangare, told reporters that the offender would be apprehended soon.
The kid and girl's families have already filed separate complaints with the Davangare district police.
